Today I share this phone holder I created. It has moving arms that close to each other when the phone presses down in it's stand, so it will be firmly held.
The base has a compartment that must be filled with sand or any other heavy material, in order to make it stable.
Each arm has a hole in the back, will fit a screw that is needed to make the arm a little heavier than its feet, so will open by itself when th phone is removed from the craddle.
Wanna take a look at it in action? please visit this page:
Hope you like it!
Pd one more hint: If you happen to make it, remember putting the bolts in place BEFORE closing the moving parts compartment! It will be very difficult to reopen even without the screws!
In these few days exploring 3d printing, I found a perfect oportunity for improving my autocad skills and learn to consider in depth general design issues. My feeling is that 3d printing will improve the way humans develop things. We are experiencing just the begining!
