How about an oloid mold for playing with kinetic sand or play dough? The design is based on a circle of 50 mm in diameter plus some tolerance. It works well with kinetic sand or silly putty. It takes two copies to make a whole shell. I added a bump and a dent to help align the two pieces.

Cookie dough seems too sticky for it, though. One could try real flour dough (pizza dough?) with a lot of dry flour.

How about serving some oloid-shaped ice cream for a birthday party or a school event such as a STEM night?

The oloid thus made is about 48,000 mm^3 or 1.62 fl. oz., in case you want to charge by volume.
