Adjustable filament spool holder for the Flashforge Creator Pro. Rather than having a bunch of different spool holders for different brands of filament, I created one spool holder that is adjustable and fits all filament brands I have tried so far.
This project requires some hardware. The spool holder runs on bearings and is very smooth. There's a pdf and a jpg image of the BOM with detailed descriptions of the parts you need. All these are easy to get at a local hardware store.
For the bearings, Fast Eddy Bearings is a great website to get all sorts of bearings. While you can get the metric hardware at your local hardware store, MrMetric is a great source for metric hardware.
Parts are easy to print. The most challenging bits are the M3 nut slots on the upper bracket and the M8 nut slot on the wing knob. The lower bracket needs a small amount of support for the hole, but it comes away really easy.
The spool holder is quite sturdy due to the M8 screw going through the lower bracket. The STL files are sized such that bearings can be pressed in pretty easy with a simple vice, but depending on your printer settings you may have to play with this a little.
