badBrick - bbBasePLXPIR, Parallax PIR (Rev B) sensor + Arduino UNO R3 Base Case.

3D model description

badBrick - bbBasePLXPIR, Parallax PIR (Rev B) sensor + Arduino UNO R3 Base Case.

The PIR port on the end is designed specifically for a Parallax PIR (Rev B) motion sensor, but will likely fit a few others as well. The other round mount hole to the side of the PIR mount fits the MaxBotix Ultrasonic Rangefinder - LV-EZ series.

Base case fits one Parallax PIR (Rev B) sensor and an Arduino UNO R3. This base case slides on, and is itself a lid to our 9v power Brick.

If you don't have a 3D printer but you're interested in getting one of these we can print you one at http://www.badbrick.com/catalog

3D printing settings

In MakerWare, I modify the "Medium" settings:

I use the Medium Profile with minor adjustments.

Quality: Layer Height = 0.18

Infill: 10%

Shells: 2

All other defaults are the same.

** Please note to Maker Ware users. I've downgraded our MW back to 2.1.x and the firmware back to 7.1.

For some reason our STLs were not printing correctly with the new 2.2 update. The slicer was printing partial faces that are not in the model. Not sure what the problem is... Models are clean and checked with Netfabb.
