Spons-BoB

3D model description

Remixed the Sponge/sluice/keeper/try/dryer/rack from 3dGringo. Original design was by this creater so, credit goes out to him in the 1st place.

Original file-link: thingiverse.com/thing:181463

I just added a funny (Dutch) text.
Use this sponge dryer for your kitchen or shower/bathroom, whatever.

Best,

3D printing settings

As commented by 3dGringo there is need for support under the tray. So i followed his advice. My text was also supported cause i autogenerated it (support) but, could be easily removed. I used a brim, just because i wanted to.

:)

Design process

After downloading the model, i opened it in meshmixer. There i applied the 'make solid' function. This way a text can be put on the model. I exported the model as an STL file. And in 123design i have added a funny text and merged it to the object. 123design is a program i'm comfortable with. After exporting this file as an STL file (ASCII), i sliced it in Cura and printed it out. I have been using Cura since my first purchase of a 3Dprinter. This was the Velleman k8200 kit. The slicer-settings (read printer-settings) had to be configured for this 3D printer. My K8200 ran so much smoother on this slicer.
