Bread Maker Cooling Rack

3D model description

If you have a home bread maker you need somewhere to cool the bread once you've taken it out of the machine. This is a compact and light cooling rack which is designed for the single loaf you've made!

Print in ABS or (better) PETG to cope with the heat and also make it dishwasher safe.

EDIT (19th September 2018):
I have uploaded a version 3 (version 1 was a prototype) which is a little shorter (and easier to print). The original needn't have been so long so this is probably the better version.

3D printing settings

Print at 0.2mm layer height or better
3 top layers, 3 bottom and 2 shells
20% infill

You'll possibly need to work hard at bed adhesion due to the very low contact surface. Print top down, obviously

  • 3D model format: STL

I am very much an enthusiastic amateur when it comes to designing. My designs tend to have two things in common

1) They serve a purpose. I like to design functional objects which have a real-world use. 3D printing for art is fine, but it's its real-world application which will take the technology forward
2) Wherever possible I design to be easy to print and try to eschew supports or complex printing; modifying the design where necessary and possible to achieve this.
