Running a time traveling Mech / Fantasy DnD game so I needed a good modular mech that would let me swap out gear for armaments and other attachments. My linebacker mech was easily scaled down to 2.5" tall without worrying about tiny parts not printing so I set out making him some new toys to play with :) I designed it so that nothing requires glue (how could you swap gear out if it was permanently attached?!)
All torsos have holes for shoulder mounted gear (cannons, antenna, rockets, etc ) as well as holes for arms. I have mirrored versions of everything so you can swap them out easily. Want a shield arm for both left and right arm? Go for it! Want dual chainsaws?! Go for it!!
The "arm with hole" currently only has a shield to go in there but you could also have a fist or any other weapon you can think of with a peg go into that hole (suggestions?).
I'm toying with the idea of putting a hole in his back to add in random back gear like extra jump jets, rear cannons, radar? I'm not sure yet but I'm open to suggestions....
**Also, Please excuse the poor quality pictures. My printer is on its last leg :( These parts should easily print for anyone that has a printer not currently falling apart :) I take requests so any tips would be appreciated and go towards my new printer
I am an engineer by day and a part time 3D designer enthusiast by night. I mainly do table top minis, terrain, etc. but I have also done many other projects such as gun accessories and a few mech designs.
I'm flexible and easy to work with. So, if you don't like something you see then feel free to shoot me a message and I'll be happy to make any changes so that my design fit your needs :)
