PNY Thumbdrive Lanyard Holder

3D model description

I have a 32gb PNY USB Thumbdrive on which the Lanyard hole broke. I use lanyards on all my thumbdrives and this one is very small so it would be easy to lose without the lanyard.

The first thing I did was to cut away the original Lanyard hole and then printed my design. I was able to press-fit it onto the thumbdrive but the part did crack a bit so it might need to be sized up slightly or maybe even use a heat gun then press-fit.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results!

I included the original 123d Design file so you can modify as you desire.

  • 3D file format: STL
  • 3D model size: X 12.7 × Y 14.3 × Z 13 mm

I started into 3d printing just out of the interest in the technology and because it's the closest thing we have to the Star Trek Replicator! When I first got the printer I was looking for things to print that others have designed but now that I have it I find I design and print items I want or need. There are many things I have not published but the items I have here are either interesting and/or useful or are some of my first attempts at designing a printable item.

If there is something you want designed reach out to me and ask. I don't know if I can do it but I might give it a go!
